Parminder qualified as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist in 2005. Throughout her career, she has worked in a range of organisations including NHS, Independent and Charitable. Since 2006, Parminder has worked within the field of Psycho-oncology at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Middlesex, as the Service Lead for the Specialist Psychological Therapies Team. She joined Cognacity in 2012. In addition, Parminder has also worked in her own private practice since 2011.
Parminder’s clinical experience and interests over the past 21 years encompass: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment and reaction to stress and trauma, complicated grief/bereavement, abuse, psychological impact of illness, perinatal mental health, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. She works in an integrative way, able to tailor therapy to the needs of the client. Parminder has experience of supervising trainees, qualified therapists and healthcare professionals, as well as delivering training sessions on psychological skills for health professionals.
