Ranjit Mann HCPC and BPS registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist. She uses a warm, empathic approach to her work with patients, while providing movement and encouragement for emotional healing and growth. She considers that in order for therapy to be successful it must be based upon the relationship between the therapist and client. Ranjit’s position as a therapist, which is both interactive and transparent, is based on co-creating a collaborative and respectful relationship between therapist and client. She offers both short and longer term therapies. In reflection of the diversity required to be effective in this work, she adopts a flexible and integrative approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR (trained to Level III), Dialectical Based Skills (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and systemic therapies to work towards the goals and health of each individual. All of her approaches are consistent with the best practice evidence by research and clinical experience.
Ranjit started her career working in both in the NHS and private hospitals. She sees a wide spectrum of clinical and complex psychological conditions such as the bi-polar spectrum, complex trauma, PTSD, weight management, pain management, mood disorders and anxiety disorders, as well as in the treatment of eating disorders; severe and enduring as well as complicated by symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder.
She works with both adults and children and adolescents presenting with complex difficulties both in-patient and out-patient services.
